Yumiko Shibata
School Interpreter
Yumiko Shibata has been working as a school interpreter for the Toyohashi City Board of Education, Japan since 2003. Her job is not just interpreting, but also doing all sorts of work to help children adapt to school. To achieve this, she acts as a bridge between teachers and parents. She received her bachelor's degree in law from Nanzan University (Nagoya, Japan, founded by Societas Verbi Divini Germany) in 1989 then worked for the Mastercard Company Japan.
